Sea Freight FCL Personal Effects

When your personal effects arrive by sea freight FCL, the wharf allows approximately three [3] days before storage commences. The shipping company also starts to charge rent on the shipping container approximately seven [7] days after the shipping container arrived into Australia. You have two charges calculating at the same time.
Platinum® Freight attempts to clear your personal effects as soon as the cargo has been unloaded from the vessel.

We aim to have all paperwork provided by you before the shipment departs for Australia. We provide a detailed list of the files that we will need from you to allow us to start the process.

Once the shipping container arrives in Australia, the container will be unloaded from the vessel onto the wharf, then the shipping container will be collected from the wharf and taken to a Quarantine unpack depot. The contents of the container will be fully unpacked and inspected. Once the goods have been released we will advise you where your removalist needs to collect your goods.
